One of the most engaging and insightful television shows on air today is “How It’s Made.” This series, broadcast on Science Channel USA, explores how various products are manufactured in the U.S. and provides the viewer with an in-depth breakdown of the manufacturing process.
One of our suppliers, Ametek, has a product that will be featured on an upcoming episode of “How It’s Made.” The episode will showcase the Chatillon CS Series Testers and will air Monday, May 30th 2016, at 9:30pm Eastern.
All About the Chatillon CS Series Testers
The CS Series is made by the Sensors, Calibration, & Test division of Ametek. These products represent Ametek’s line of high-quality digital force testing machines that are used for production testing. The CS Series is particularly designed for applications up to 5 kN (1100 lbf), and is used to test a wide range of materials, including electronics, plastic, rubber, packaging, textiles, and medical devices.
One hallmark of the CS Series is its user-friendly, intuitive method for a variety of testing, ranging from flexural testing to tensile testing, compression testing, shear testing, and advanced multi-stage testing. The goal was to create a platform with high ease-of-use. Thus, no knowledge of programming is required, and neither is proprietary software.
Additional benefits include the 1000hz data sampling, a large working area, ergonomic design, automatic sensor recognition, and a sophisticated load measurement system.
Be sure to watch “How It’s Made” on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 9:00pm Eastern on Science Channel USA to catch Ametek’s great products and see how this industry leader manufactures some of the best force testing equipment in the field today.
